Peter and Miles distract Venom while Mary Jane steals the meteorite and destroys it with the EMF’s particle accelerator, destroying Venom’s symbiote horde. At Harry’s insistence, Peter destroys Venom and frees Harry from its control, but rendering Harry comatose. Peter reunites with Harry and Mary Jane and attempts to return the suit to Harry, but it refuses to leave him; the three figure they need Connors’ help. While investigating Kraven, Peter discovers that Kraven is dying of cancer and is looking for someone who can give him a “warrior’s death” in combat.

You can still swing away to escape, but a well-timed parry not only stops the incoming attack but leaves an enemy vulnerable to further damage. And then there’s the new Web Line mechanic which lets you craft your own high wire paths across specific points in the environment, giving you even more control and flexibility over stealth takedowns. The first game will always be better but this one is still a great game that’s definitely worth playing. Now, you’ll have access to 78 suits with unique costumes for both Peter and Miles. A bird’s-eye assessment reveals Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) to have a more story-focused gameplay narrative compared to the sequel.
Certain enemies are weak to different types of abilities, such as electric or symbiote attacks, which also adds an enjoyable extra wrinkle to fights. It’s by no means revolutionary stuff, but a welcome added level of complexity that makes you consider which powers – or even which Spider-Man – are best for a given job. Though hotfixes are flying thick and fast as I finish out this review, for me the patches have so far failed to tackle frequent crashes to desktop.

Dialogue has this odd faux-wholesome tone, like you’re trapped in a corporate training video—all careful politeness and empty one-liners.
